POTAbeam DX-75+ Portable HexBeam Antenna is a portable, broadband Hexbeam antenna designed for 10 and 11-meter bands, featuring a resonant frequency range of 26.8 MHz to 29.8 MHz and offers a 3 MHz bandwidth (without a tuner). It sets up in minutes, with a little practice and in my testing, it has a SWR of 1.10 @ 27.95MHz. Other Bands tested without a tuner came in at an SWR 11 or higher. I set up my POTAbeam on top of a 25' DXE Fiberglass Mast HD and rotate it by hand. So far, the few times I have used it, it pulled in some great DX from Europe and South America in the morning and early afternoon hours, as well all over the United States. In future use, I will be pointing it to Asia and Australia.
My current thoughts: The POTAbeam is a great portable directional antenna, that is quick to set up, with a little practice, but not as quick as say maybe an EFHW, or a simple vertical with radials. This is great DX antenna for 10 meters and I hear these stations coming in clear as bell on my FT-891. At the time of this writing (Feb 2026) the list price is $360 USD, which may be worth the price, at least for me it was. Ordering was easy and it was delivered less than 2 weeks with free shipping.

I really like the POTABeam for 10 meters because its enhanced gain helps me get stronger signals out and pull in distant stations more reliably, especially during band openings. It’s incredibly easy to set up, which makes portable operations smooth and stress-free, and its compact, lightweight (~7 lbs.) design means it packs down small and travels effortlessly. For relatively quick deployments and solid performance on 10 meters, it’s hard to beat.
